Summary Educationists demanded a stern action against the responsible for UET entry test paper leakage.

Noted educationists of the country flayed University of the Engineering and Technology authorities for letting the entry question paper leak before the test.University of Engineering and Technology Lahore Vice Chancellor Lt Genera (r) Muhammad Akram told Dunya News that a probing committee has been formed to find out the responsible of the incident.He said that entry test would be held again.Talking to Dunya News, Dr Hafeezur Rehman said that no clemency would be shown to the responsible of the incident. Educationist Hafiz Iqbal said that negligence of the authorities let the paper to be leaked.It is the first incidents in 13 years when entry test question paper was leaked.Educationists suggested that system should need to be improved to prevent any such incident in future. 41,000 candidates had appeared for entry tests for 4,000 seats, but the test was already leaked. However, the Education authorities did not bother to cancel the paper and went ahead to conduct it.Dunya News aired news of the leaked paper first of all, prompting the Educational authorities to cancel the paper subsequently. Candidates told Dunya News that they solved exactly the same paper that was leaked, copies of which have been shown on Dunya TV. It was not immediately announced when the test would be conducted again.The test was conducted in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur. Other than these cities, tests are also being conducted in Taxila, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar. The results of the tests were to be announced on August 3 at 11pm. Some 5,941 students applied for entry to Engineering College, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.
