World should work to end terrorism: Gilani

Summary Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan is keen to strengthen ties with Sri Lanka.

Talking to the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka G L Peiris at the PM House, Gilani stressed that regular meetings were needed for further expansion of the trade and commercial relations.The PM welcomed that a meeting had been scheduled in August in Colombo to move ahead on the negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two countries.He said that cooperation in eduction and nursing sectros was also needed to be enhaced for further development.Prime Minister Gilani said both Pakistan and Sri Lanka had been victims of terrorism and remained committed to counter this threat till its elimination.
