Summary Extended load shedding of 11-hour in cities and 15-hour in rural areas force people to protest.
According to Pepco the production of electricity is 12881 mw while the demand is 18706 mw. In Pakpatan lawyers took out a protest rally and attacked Wapda office. In Multan, Bahawalpur, Khaniwal, Rahimyar Khan, Muzzafar Garh and Dera Ghazi Khan load shedding continues for 10 to11 hours. In rural areas from 12 to 14 hour power cut is observed. According to Qesco official there is a short fall of 685 mw in Balochistan. In Quetta 4 to 6 hours, in district headquarters 8 to 12 hours and in rural areas 12 to 18 hour power cut continues.
