Summary The restoration of the Commissionerate System was challenged in the Supreme Court.
The applicant, Iqbal Haider was of the view that the Acting Governor was not entitled to issue the ordinance.He further said that the eradication of the local government system was against the spirit of the Constitution.Article 32 of the Constitution provides security to the local government system.The Federal Government, Acting Sindh Governor Nisar Khuhro, the Sindh government and the secretary for Local Bodies have been made respondents.
