Summary Chief Justice has also issued contempt notice to DCO for non-issuance of a document to a citizen.
Chief Justice Lahore High court has remarked that if CM could not take action against patwaris then he should step down. A citizen Khalid Saeed filed a petition stating that a patwari refused to issue him a document of ownership despite court order. The court has summoned DCO Lahore Ahad Cheema to explain why the court ordered was not complied with. The court also said that when DCO was summoned, the patwari issued the document in 15 minutes. Terming the DCO incompetent, the court observed patwaris demand Rs 1.5 for document of ownership. The court adjourned the hearing to August 12.
