Summary Prolonged and unscheduled load shedding continued across the country as shortfall reaches 5,170MW.
According to Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), the country is generating 13,043MW while the current demand is 18,213MW, hence 5,170MW shortage.The power outage has crippled the industry and trade activities across the country. The daily power outage has reached up to 12 hours in urban and 16 hours in rural areas.
