ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Mirza Shahzad Akbar has served a legal notice to PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb over a statement targeting him.

The SAPM announced this in a tweet, saying that on his instructions, his lawyers have served a legal notice to Marriyum for her defamatory statement against him.

He further said that the PML-N spokesperson has been asked to apologize for her remarks and pay Rs 500 million in damages, otherwise she will be taken to court for further action.

Earlier in the day, Marriyum had alleged during a press conference that Shahzad Akbar tried to solicit 50% commission in a payment of $25 million to Broadsheet LLC.
