Summary CJP asks Election Commission to clarify status of bye-polls lest they are declared illegal.
During the hearing of Imran Khan’s plea on bogus votes Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan informed the court that 37 million bogus votes have been excluded from voters lists and 36 million new voters have been included.The campaign for the verification of 80 million voters will begin from July 18 and complete lists will be displayed by August 16. It has also been decided to include pictures in the list of voters. These lists will be made available only to the presiding officer. The hearing was adjourned to an indefinite period.
