Summary Federal Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar said efforts were underway to reduce loadshedding.
Talking to media at NESPAK head office in Lahore, the federal minister said that 3000 megawatts of power was added in the system however demand was also increasing.He said that the increase in tariff was not expected as hydel power was expected to increase in summer season.Naveed said that the steps were being taken for dissolution of PEPCO and the alternate structure would be prepared till October.He said that dialogue with India on the issue of Kishan Ganga was underway and Pakistan would use its right to seek global mediation when needed.
