Summary Flood control cell has been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in view of possible flood threat.

The provincial government has set up the flood control cell in collaboration with Irrigation Department, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and Pakistan Meteorological Department.The government has also demanded Rs 700 million from PDMA for protective measures. Meanwhile, the river banks have not been protected yet which has alarmed the residents living along the river banks.The government had declared seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as sensitive, including, Peshawar, Charsadda and nowshera.
