ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting will be held in Islamabad today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.
Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh will preside over the meeting. According to sources, a five-point agenda will be discussed during the meeting.
Sources informed that the meeting will give approval to additional gas supply to SSGCL from Rehman Gas Field. Agreement to purchase electricity from Iran will also come under consideration. An agreement to buy 104 megawatts of electricity from Iran is also possible.
A summary to end charges on Afghan transit cargo, containers parked at the Karachi port will be presented during the meeting. The meeting is also expected to approve the coastal area survey.
