Summary The upcoming monsoon season has posed a flood threat in the western rivers of Pakistan.

A water deluge of 750,000 cusecs is expected to pass through Guddu Barrage in August. According to Indus River System Authority (IRSA), only 40% dyke repairing work could be completed in the flood-hit areas.The IRSA officials say that water flow is 97,000 cusecs in Chenab River, 227,000 cusecs in Indus River, 46,000 in Kabul River and 45,000 in Jhelum River.
