Several densely populated areas in Lahore were without electricity for three consecutive hours after the Kot Lakhpat Grid Station and several feeders were shut down due to an overload but as the electricity load reduced the supply of resorted.Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) officials said that the electricity was being cut off by that National Power Control Center in Islamabad.Ghari Sahu, Lakshami Chowk, Gawal Mandi, Ravi Road, Gulshan Ravi, Samanabad, Multan Road, Ichara and other neighboring areas were without electricity for several hours.Planned and unannounced electricity load shedding has gone up to 12-14 hours in Lahore. The load shedding coupled with the heat wave has made everyday live difficult for the people.
