Any govt official not performing will be replaced: Shahbaz Gill

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill has said that any government official not doing their job will be replaced, even if 500 IGs have to be changed, the government will do so.

Talking to Dunya News on the issue of previous IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir’s transfer, he said that reports of transferring IG Punjab on the complaint of CCPO Lahore are wrong. Both positions have their own domains and there is no political interference in the Punjab police, he added.

Dr Shahbaz Gill said that when the status quo is broken, it is initially unseemly. He said we have to change the “thana” culture and it is the status quo that is confused, not the government.

Talking to Dunya News, he said that in previous governments, officials used to lend personal favors, which is why they completed their tenures. However, performance is the top priority in our government, whoever does not perform is replaced, he said.
