Summary The National Assembly approved four demands of the foreign ministry of more than Rs 12 billion.
Participating in the National Assemble debate over the demands of the Foreign Ministry, member of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the parliament should make the foreign policy, rather than the secret agencies. Ehsan Iqbal said that the Embassies should also be audited. Minister of Foreign affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar said that the government considers the resolution passed by the parliament, as strength. She added that the political leadership was forming the foreign policy however the GHQ and the secret agencies play an important part in forming the policy. Hina Rabbani Khar also said that the relations with the United States were being reviewed. She added that the government had also brought talks with India back on the table.
