Summary US envoy Frank Rogero called on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar.
The Minister of State and the US special diplomat on the affairs of Pakistan and Afghanistan discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest particularly Afghan issue.The Minister of State underscored the need for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade and economic relations, energy, agriculture and social uplift.According to foreign office, both parties agreed that Pakistan and America were on right track, adding that successive meetings have helped improve better understanding of viewpoint of each other.While showing concerns over cross-border attacks in Pakistani territory, she said that affective steps should be taken to discourage such incidents.US envoy also met with Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir.
