The Sindh government has given a free hand to the Rangers and police to launch a whole scale operation against miscreants to maintain law and order in Karachi.In a meeting held in the Governor’s House under the chair of the Sindh governor and the chief minister, the representatives of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Awami National Party (ANP) agreed in principle to evolve a common strategy to restore peace in the city.It was a consensus of opinion in the meeting that the three coalition partners would cooperate in action against miscreants in Karachi.It was also decided in the meeting that no flag of any party would be hoisted and wall chalking would be stopped.The representatives were also agreed to avoid issuing provocative statements against one another.The leaders of three political parties visited the affected areas of Karachi, including Orangi Town and vowed to take stern action against those who were bent upon ruining the peace of the city.
