Summary Accepting the journalists demand, the government has set up a commission to probe the case.
Justice Saqib Nisar will head the commission. Addressing to journalists’ sit-in in front of Parliament House, Federal Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government had accepted their demands and the commission had been formed to probe into Salim Shahzad’s murder. After the announcement of the commission, journalists ended their protest.Political parties’ leaders including Nawaz Shrif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman joined the protest to express their solidity with journalists.
