Summary A complete lunar eclipse will be visible tonight across the eastern hemisphere.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the eclipse will begin at 11:22pm on Wednesday and last until 4:02am on Thursday.The total eclipse is expected to last around 100 minutes, starting at around 12:22am the eclipse will reach its acme at 1:13am.Being described as one of the ‘darkest’ eclipses, this is the first lunar eclipse to have occurred this year, and one of the two in the world’s 2011 calendar, says NASA.According to NASA, the last longest total lunar eclipse occurred in 2000 and lasted 107 minutes. The eclipse visibility path will be over east Africa, Mid East, Asia and western Australia.
