Summary Somali pirates released the hostages after receiving the ransom and set the ship en route to Oman.
Indian sailor Ravinder Singh, on board the ship hijacked by the Somali pirates, talked to his wife and told her that the pirates left the ship in the middle of the ocean. He also said that the people on board are without food and it would take at least three days for them to reach the coast of Oman. Ravinder Singh also echoed fear that the ship could yet again be attacked by pirates. He said that despite contacting the Indian Navy numerous times, they have not taken any action to provide protection. Ravinder Singh confirmed that Governor Sindh Governor Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has assured to send the Pakistan Navy for protection purposes.Social Activist Ansar Burney told Dunya News that Captain of the ship Syed Vasi Hasan and the crew are in constant contact. He said that the crew would in the comfort of their home in five days time. The Somali pirates attacked and hijacked the Egyptian cargo ship MV SUEZ about 10 months ago. The pirates also held the crew of the ship hostage. After paying the ransom, the pirates have released the hostages and the ship which is en route to Oman.
