Summary Justice Chaudhry says he will not allow repetition of Karachi-like incidents in Punjab.

The Lahore High Court resumed the hearing of suo motu notice on the death of a young man in a fake police encounter.LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry remarked he would not allow Karachi-like incident in Punjab and ordered the trial court to decide the case in 30 days.Punjab inspector general of police told the court that four police officials, including a deputy superintendent of police, have been arrested.The chief justice remarked that the police officials should not be given a free hand to kill people.The proceeding has been adjourned for 15 days.The chief justice had taken suo motu notice on the reports that the police killed a man identified as Shahbaz Butt in fake encounter.
