Summary Cut in tax on cinema and increase in race clubs taxes and vehicles have been proposed in the budget.
According to the budget documents, the entertainment tax, imposed on cinemas has been brought down from 65 percent to 20 percent. The tax on race clubs has been increased by 200 percent or Rs 200 per ticket. The token fee of 1,000CC vehicles has been increased by Rs 600 and token tax of other vehicles has also been raised. Rs 1 billion have been allocated for public transport.
