Summary Lahore and other cities in the country are facing petrol shortage for the past four days.
The non-availability of petrol in various cities continued ever after four days as people face great difficulty. In some cities petrol prices have been increased while long queues can also be witnessed at pumps where petrol is available. Petrol shortage continues Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Lodhran, Khanewal and Vehari. People on cars and motorbikes after waiting for hours in queues are being given less than required petrol.Mianwali is also facing a severe petrol shortage as petrol pumps increased prices to Rs 100 per litre.Petrol shortage is also causing problems in Azad Kashmir as Muzaffargarh has been without petrol for the past 10 days. Petrol shortage has also affected everyday life in Sindh as various petrol pumps across the region have been closed down due to the non-availability of petrol. Rickshaw drivers claim that their income has been affected due to the petrol shortages and are often left without food. Pakistan Oil and Gas regulatory authority has taken notice of the petrol crisis and issued notices to the Attock, Byco and Pakistan oil refineries.
