Gandhi supported Kashmir's right to self-determination: Fayyaz-ul Hassan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has said Mahatma Gandhi supported and argued in favor of Kashmir’s right to self-determination.

The provincial minister said that Gandhi’s views of Kashmir were very different from Indian Prime Minister Modi’s view on the disputed territory.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan further said that Gandhi used to say that the people of Kashmir should be asked whether they want to join Pakistan or India. He added that now Muslims in India are facing unprecedented suppression.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan further said that PM Modi has turned truly secular India of Gandhi into a fascist state.
