Federal cabinet approves ordinance over smuggling

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal cabinet has on Monday approved an ordinance over smuggling through a circulation summary, Dunya News reported.

According to the ordinance, delivery of wheat, flour, sugar, rice, currency and other items through illegal routes will be considered as smuggling whose punishment will be 14-year imprisonment.

Delivery through legal routes will only be allowed and law secretary will take action against the culprits if customs official fail to act despite receiving complaint.
