Three people were killed while several were injured in a main gas pipeline explosion that occurred just outside a private cardiology hospital near the Khiali area in Gujranwala. The intensity of the explosion was such that a youth named Zahid, present at the Hospital’s parking stand lost his life while an adjacent bank building also collapsed.Several other were also injured in the explosion and the many are feared to be stuck under the rumble of the building. The injured were shifted to the District Hospital for medical assistance.Security guards are feared to be stuck under the rubble of the collapsed building. After receiving news about the incident, Rescue 1122, Edhi and other rescue teams arrived at the scene and started the relief work. Efforts are underway to stop the gas leakage to prevent further incidents.
