Traders said that business community had demanded of the government to bring down the Sales Tax to 12 percent but government had ignored the recommendation. They said that business community was expecting allocation of special funds for the construction of water reservoirs but unfortunately no such announcement has been made, adding that withdrawal of subsidy would add fuel to the fire, industrial input cost would rise and ultimately exports would suffer.They stated that the government had failed to give any economic revival plan in the budget and urged all the parliamentarians to play the role for cut in non-development expenditure.
