Summary Burney has said Somali pirates have extended the date for paying the ransom money up to June 11.
Earlier, humanitarian worker Ansar Burney said that the pirates had given the deadline of June 2 to pay the ransom money but he was trying to get the date extended.Burney said that the deteriorating condition in Yemen and some other technical reasons could delay the release of Pakistani hostages held by Somali pirates.He said that the pirates were assured that the amount had been transferred into the account of the shipping company’s owner.
