Summary Large numbers of journalists and politicians attended the funeral prayer of Shehzad in Karachi.
Earlier, the dead body of Saleem Shehzad was shifted to his residence in Defence Phase-5 after it reached Karachi airport from Islamabad. His funeral prayer was held after Zuhr prayers. Later, he was laid to rest at Phase-7 graveyard.Meanwhile, the journalists have demanded an immediate inquiry into Shehzad’s killing under a judge of Supreme Court. They said that black flags would be hoisted for three days at press clubs all over Pakistan. They also announced to hold protests on Friday. Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) President Pervaiz Shaukat said that journalists would stage a sit in in front of Parliament house on June 30.
