The Lahore High Court sought an explanation from the federal government for not airing opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s speech on Pakistan Television.During the hearing of a petition in the LHC against the government for not airing Nisar’s address to the joint session of parliament, Justice Azmat Sheikh remarked that the PTV was run on public money so it was its responsibility to keep people aware of the facts.The court sought an explanation from the federal government, Information Ministry and the PTV managing director on the matter.Separately, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry constituted a bench for hearing a petition against the Hajj and Umrah Policy 2011 from June 1.
