Summary Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of a petition against levying of tax by presidential ordinance.
A three-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the petition against levying of tax through presidential ordinance.Shahid Orakzai challenged the presidential ordinance that imposed 15 percent surcharge on income tax.The court adjourned the hearing until June 2 as no representative of the Law Ministry appeared before the court.
