Summary No security arrangements have been made for Karachi city courts compound, despite terror threats.
Security in the Malir court was tightened after the attack on the PNS Mehran and construction to raise the boundary wall of the Malir court was started.Malir court deals with the cases of only one district of Karachi but courts of all four districts of Karachi are located in the city court compound.In addition, the offices of provincial election commission, revenue department and other departments are also located in the city court compound.But the government was not paying any attention for its security despite the fact the several incidents of terrorism had been taken place in city courts. Fearing another terror attack, the Karachi Bar Association has declared the city court a no parking zone.
