ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Zulfi Bukhari, has said that the government has written to the UK that former premier Nawaz Sharif will be declared proclaimed offender if he does not return to Pakistan within two weeks.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Corporate and Commercial Complex organized by EOBI, Zulfi Bukhari expressed that the cabinet unanimously agreed not to remove Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL). “There is no need of Maryam to travel to the UK when Nawaz has his two sons to take care of him there,” he added.

On the other hand, SAPM announced an increase of Rs2,000 in EOBI pensions, saying that citizens will receive Rs8,500 now. He also raised a question asking that “who will be held responsible for all the damages EOBI has suffered in last ten years?”

Bukhari also maintained that the incumbent government will not be blackmailed at the hands of the opposition over Election Commission’s matter.
