Gilani calls defence body meeting on May 25

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani called a meeting of federal cabinet’s defence committee to review the security situation of the country after the militant attack on PNS Mehran, Karachi.Defense Minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shamim Wyne, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Air Chief Rao Qamar Suleman, Naval Chief Admiral Noman Bashir and Inter Services Intelligence Director General Ahmad Shuja Pasha will attend the meeting.This will be the second meeting of the cabinet’s defence committee during this month. Earlier, a defence committee meeting was held after the Abbottabad operation.
