Summary Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition against the appointment of PEMRA chairman.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Director General Ashfaq Khan filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the appointment of PEMRA acting Chairman Dr Abdul Jabbar.The petitioner submitted that the court should invalidate the appointment of the PEMRA chairman and stop him from performing his duties in the capacity of PEMRA chairman.The petitioner’s lawyer said that the PEMRA chairman was appointed by violating the rules and regulations.The court dismissed the petition by declaring it non maintainable.
