Summary Mukhtaran Mai has filed a review petition challenging the decision of the Supreme Court.
Today, I have filed a review petition in the Supreme Court and I have requested for a review of the judgment, Mukhtaran Mai’s lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan told the media.Aitzaz says the petition filed on Thursday points out flaws in the courts ruling. The court has been requested to constitute a larger bench for the hearing of the review petition.Fourteen men originally were accused, but courts over the years have acquitted 13. The Supreme Court last month upheld the acquittals.
