BEIJING (Dunya News) - Top officials, including Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister bid farewell and presented guard of honor to Prime Minister Imran Khan while he was departing for Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan has left China after his successful visit strengthening bilateral ties between both countries. During his visit to China, he met with key military and businessmen, including President Xi Jinping and his counterpart.

Prime Minister’s visit is said to haven taken Pak-China friendship to new heights. When PM Imran arrived at the airport for departure, he was greeted by a group of three Chinese armed forces.

Earlier, Pakistan and China on Wednesday reaffirmed their firm resolve to further strengthening Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership aimed at building a Community of Shared Future in the New Era.

According to the joint statement issued on the conclusion of PM Imran Khan s two-day official visit to China, the two sides observed that the close ties, deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China served the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples, and contributed to peace, stability and development in the region. They also reaffirmed their support on issues concerning each other s core interests.

Chinese leaders reiterated solidarity with Pakistan in safeguarding its territorial sovereignty, independence and security.
