Summary Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that he was not allowed to complete his tenure twice in the past.
Addressing a press conference, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif said that his first government was dissolved by a president while an army general took over his second government and he was not allowed to complete both of his tenures.Nawaz said that he launched various development projects during the office and that he was trying to change the lot of the poor in the country.The PML-N chief said that Banazir was martyred four years ago, but her killers were still to be arrested. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari did not fulfill his promise and had failed to arrest Benazir’s killers.He said the political parties, which accused each other in the near past, were now coalition partners. He said there should be principles in politics also.He said that the yellow-cab scheme and projects like motorway, Gwadar Seaport and Costal Highways had been started during his tenure. He said there was no shortage of electricity and gas during his government and the country was heading towards prosperity, but his governments were finished.He said that he was not against the formation of new provinces in the country. He said new provinces should be made for administrative purpose.Nawaz also criticised former president Pervez Musharraf for army take over. He said that the judges and the generals who favoured the Musharraf government were traitors. They should be brought to justice, he said.He said peace in Balochistan could not be achieved until the arrest of the killers of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
