Summary Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has intensified his efforts to reconcile with the estranged party leaders.
The first goal of the veteran politician is to reconcile with the Laghari family, which is displeased with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PLM-Q) leaders on the issue of their joining hands with the Pakistan People’s Party.Shujaat is scheduled to meet with Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and other party lawmakers in Islamabad on Saturday night. Earlier, a group of PML-Q senators, opposing to join the coalition government, chose to remain in the opposition and began consultations with other political parties about the appointment of a new opposition leader in the Senate.Former opposition leader, Waseem Sajjad, joined the treasury benches after the PML-Q’s alliance with the PPP.
