Summary US $52.80 million will be used to import tea while US $66 million will be used to import palm oil in the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government on Saturday set an import target of more than US $53.66 billion for the next fiscal year whereas petroleum group was set with the highest import target of more than US $15 billion.

According to the documents, government set a target of more than US$4.70 billion for the next fiscal year. Out of US $4.70 billion dollars, US $52.80 million will be used to import tea while US $66 million will be used to import palm oil in the country.

According to the documents obtained by Dunya News, LNG’s target was set for US $3.85 billion whereas raw petroleum import target was set for US $5.47 billion. The target of the machinery group has been set up for more than US $6.34 billion for next year while the electricity machinery costing more than US $1.25 billion will be imported as well.

The federal government has targeted the import of textile group of US $4.15 billion. Iron and steel scrap of US $2 billion will be imported in a year. Other sectors were given an import target of US $8.23 billion.
