Summary Young Doctors Association of Punjab has announced to resume their strike from May 11.
Officials of the Young Doctors Association said that the government had backed down from its promises. They said that instead of 15 days, it had now been a month but the government did not announce raise in their salaries.The officials said that indoor and outdoor units of all the hospitals in Punjab would be closed from May 11 and only the emergency services and intensive care units would be kept operational. They threatened to close the emergency services too if the government behaved unfairly or arrested doctors during the strike.
