Summary US President did not see Osama being killed during the monitoring of the operation.
CIA Director Leon Panetta said that relations with Pakistan should not be strained over Osama Bin Laden as it would not be in the interest of the United States. He said that either Pakistanis were completely unaware of Osama’s presence or they were aiding him.Briefing the congress members in a closed door meeting, Panetta said that the people of the United States have no doubts over the assassination of Bin Laden. He said that America has benefited a lot from the death of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden but added that Al Qaeda was still a threat to the world. During the one hour CIA briefing session, the congress members were not shown the video or a picture of Osama Bin Laden.On the other hand, an American newspaper claims that during the monitoring, US President Barrack Obama did not see Bin Laden being killed.
