Summary Fuel supplies to NATO, Pakistan Railways and Airline companies would be stopped.
All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association (APOTOA) have suspended operations to supply fuel across the country including NATO fuel supplies for an indefinite period in a protest strike against the increase in price of petroleum products. As a result the lack of fuel supply could hamper ground and air travels across the country along with the production of electricity.According to the All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association, following the increasing petrol price, the transporters are facing great difficulty in continuing the transport of fuel supplies across the country. After an unsuccessful attempt at negotiations with the contractors, an indefinite strike has been called and as a result fuel supplies to across the country including NATO, Pakistan Railways and Airline companies would be stopped. According to All Pakistan Petroleum dealers said that due to the existing shortage, several pumps in Karachi are without petrol or diesel hence the indefinite strike is going to create a grave shortage across the whole country.
