Summary Supreme Court has sought record of Bhutto case from the Ichra police station.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said approver Masood Mehmood got his statement recorded during the martial law which is important. The hearing was held by 11-strong bench of the apex court. Aitzaz Ahsan, who is assisting the court, said he watched the trial and the then chief justice Maulvi Mushtaq was against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Babar Awan said Bhutto’s plea on judge’s bias was kept pending. Chief justice said Bhutto’ case was closed in 1975, how come it again surfaced. Awan said Prime minister wants to see the court proceedings. CJP said he would welcome the prime minister.
