Summary According to Punjab government, Growth Strategy report will be prepared in next few days.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government prepared five year development plan on Wednesday for South Punjab. Education, health and clean water will be included in the plan whereas South Punjab also decided to construct a mini-civil secretariat in Multan.

According to Punjab government, Growth Strategy report will be properly issued in next few days.

As per report, 64 percent of children in South Punjab do not make it to even secondary school whereas 65 out of 1000 infants die at the time of their birth.

While proposing to reduce funds by five percent in big districts development plan every year, five percent increase in funds will be provided every year to non-developmental districts.

Over 50 percent funds will be reserved for education, health and clean water provision. It was also mentioned that funds for South Punjab development scheme can’t be transferred to another district.

Other than that, it was also decided to create a District Delivery Fund (DDF). DDF will function in 10 most poor districts. Dunya News obtained the Growth Strategy report of Punjab government.
