KARACHI (Dunya News) – After twelve years, police is still in search of suspects involved in the violence on 12 May in Karachi. JIT formed to investigate the matter was not able to arrest the criminals even after 12 years.
The head of JIT and Karachi police chief Amir Sheikh said case is still in progress and police is trying to collect the evidences from on and off air footages.
Sheikh expressed many were arrested by police in this case adding that challan of 36 cases in this regard was submitted in the courts.
Karachi police chief said they were collecting evidences from different TV channels and statements are being recorded of on duty officials.
On the other hand JIT formed last year had called two sessions. Police sources said only two cases were solved in last 12 years while 19 cases did not meet their logical end.
