ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister s Adviser on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has instructed Federal Board of Revenue to fine tune the proposed Assets Declaration Scheme 2019 to make it simple to understand and easy to implement.
He gave these instructions, while reviewing the scheme in detail with FBR officials in Islamabad today (Sunday).
The Advisor also emphasized that the objective of the scheme should be to make the economy more tax compliant and documented.
Discussion focused on the scope and the features of the scheme.
Earlier, newly appointed finance adviser Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh met Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday to discuss the matters pertaining to derailing economy of Pakistan.
Dr Sheikh, who replaced PTI’s leader Asad Umar in Finance Ministry, apprised the premier regarding talks with officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
