Summary Two separate petitions have been filed in LHC to declare NAB illegal.
Appellant Muhammad Altaf maintained before the court that NAB was working without its chairman. He said the contract of DG NAB expired on April 20, while nobody was assigned the responsibility of acting chairman.This department was practically non-functional, the appellant maintained.Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ejaz Chaudhry accepted the petition for initial hearing. A division bench headed by the chief justice would initiate the hearing of the case.In another petition, Advocate Azhar Sidique requested the court to bar NAB DG from attending his office.
