Summary Ghinwa Bhutto filled a petition in the apex court, challenging the ownership transfer of a trust.
Ghinwa Bhutto, her daughter Fatima and son Zulfikar (Junior), approached the Supreme Court against the decision of the Federal Sharia Court (FSC) that had returned the assets of the Sheikh Zaid Sultan trust to President Zardari, his children and Begum Nusrat Bhutto in 2010.Legal heirs of late Mir Murtaza Bhutto, son of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, challenged the decision in the Supreme Court, saying assets of trust cannot be liquidated or transferred.“As heirs of the founding trustee we had the right to be heard. No notice was ever issued to us,” Ghinwa Bhutto said about the FSC’s verdict.Issuing notices to defendants, the court adjourned the hearing till May 4.
