Summary The PPP leaders agreed to continue with their reconciliation policy after positive results.
President Asif Ali Zardari chaired a meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party core committee meeting in Islamabad. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani also took part in the meeting.Briefing the media about the meeting, the Presidential spokesman, Farhatullah Babar, said that the inclusion of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid in the government was under consideration. The current political situation of the country and relations with the collation partners were also discussed.Former federal law minster Babur Awan briefed the meeting on the Bhutto reference case while Raza Rabbani briefed the meeting about the implementation of the 18th and the 19th amendments. The PPP leaders expressed their satisfaction over the results of their reconciliation policy and agreed to continue with it.According to sources, matters pertaining to the general election in Azad Kashmir were discussed while the party leaders of Azad Kashmir were directed to prepare of the election.
